What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is the name for a cleaner burning diesel fuel made from renewable resources such as animal fats and vegetable oils. It contains no petroleum products, but it can be combined with petroleum diesel to form a biodiesel blend. Properly manufactured, biodiesel can be used in standard diesel engines with little or no modifications. Using animal byproducts as a feedstock also has no impact on global food supplies.
